This programme provides the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of Sports Biomechanics. All aspects of Sports Biomechanics will be covered, ranging from experimental equipment requirements and utilisation through to the latest theoretical considerations and research problems. Work will consist of hands-on laboratory and field techniques, theoretical modelling and computer simulation of human movement, and critical analysis, discussion and presentation of research projects. This is an end-on programme suitable for students from a field where a fundamental grasp of mechanics has been displayed, and with an interest in applying this knowledge to the sports research arena.
