The MA in Creative Digital Media provides a thorough grounding in the core skills and knowledge of digital media technologies and offers specialist production techniques dedicated to the specific needs of the digital media industry. The course is designed to advance students' employment potential and addresses the specific needs of employment in digital media. It is also suitable as a foundation for pursuing a career in digital media research.

The programme is available in full-time and part-time modes of study. The full-time programme is offered over 3 semesters starting in September of each year. The part time programme is offered in the evening time (2 evenings per week) over 2 years.

The programme is aimed at those with a career interest in the emerging digital media content industry. It is suited to graduates of diverse disciplines including media, art and design, and computer science. The programme is also suited to educators, engineers and design practitioners who have a requirement for digital media production techniques.

While basic computer literacy is a prerequisite for the course and some previous experience of digital media production is desirable. An introductory elective module is available for those who require initial training in digital media applications.

Honours degree (2.2 grade or higher) in any discipline relevant to multimedia authoring, design, production or computer science. Selection may be by interview.

Candidates should also have 6.0 IELTS English Proficiency Score or equivalent.
