The Postgraduate Programme in Chinese business Law is unique in Europe. It first offers an in-depth understanding and knowledge of Chinese business law, including the legal system and its institutional framework, principles of Chinese law, legal developments and dispute settlements.

The programme then focuses on the various fields of Chinese law: contract law, company law, economic and financial law, commercial law, investment legislation, tax law, intellectual property law, customs law and environmental law.

Thesis

Certification

A post-academic certificate, bearing the name of the postgraduate course and signed by the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, will be granted by the Brussels Institute of Contemporary China Studies, after successfully finishing the complete programme.

Requirements

University degree (master or bachelor).

A good command of English is required. This requirement can be met non-Anglophones providing either proof of graduation from a programme taught in English or a copy of a `Test of English as a Foreign Language´ (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 550 (paper test).

All students from the People´s Republic of China must obtain a certificate of academic screening from the Academic Evaluation Centre (APS) of the German Embassy in Beijing before enrolling in any institution of higher education, language course or other preparatory course in Belgium.
