This programme aims to equip participants with the necessary expertise to manage, co-ordinate and develop tourism businesses and projects in Ireland and abroad. It is aimed at both professionals currently employed within the tourism industry and those from related fields. This dynamic programme encourages interaction between academics and industry practitioners from the national and international tourism sector.
Award Graduates of the programme are eligible for the award of Masters Degree in Tourism Management (M.Sc. in Tourism Management) of the Dublin Institute of Technology.
Career Opportunities Graduates of this programme have found employment in a wide range of positions within and outside the industry. Career paths include management positions in the travel sector, tour operators, national and regional tourism organisations, tourist attractions, hospitality businesses, community development, cultural organisations, cooperative marketing groups, support agencies and local authorities. Assessment The programme is assessed through a range of methods, which includes: project work; group work, assignments; presentations and terminal examinations. In addition, students will be expected to complete a dissertation.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testApplicants should possess a primary degree at honours level (2.2 grade or higher) or equivalent. In addition, applicants may be required to complete an admission interview.
