The hospitality industry is a major worldwide industry. It is dynamic, competitive, fast growing and international in nature. It is wide-ranging, covering everything from deluxe hotels, restaurants and designer bars, to catering operations and nightclubs. DIT’s MSc in Hospitality Management is designed to provide participants with the expert knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career at senior management level in any sector of this vibrant industry.

This globally recognised hospitality programme is one of DIT’s most sought after programmes. It is the first and only programme of its kind in the Republic of Ireland and provides participants with a top-level educational package that is delivered by leading academics and experts from the national and international hospitality sector. The programme covers all aspects of the hospitality industry with a business and based curriculum that is designed to equip participants with the management skills and analytic capabilities necessary to obtain careers in a wide range of organisational settings.

Award Graduates of the programme are eligible for the award of Masters Degree in Hospitality Management (M.Sc. in Hospitality Management) of the Dublin Institute of Technology.

Assessment The programme is assessed through a range of methods, which includes: project work, group work, assignments, presentations and terminal examinations. In addition, students will be expected to complete a dissertation.

Requirements

Applicants should possess an undergraduate degree at honours classification (2.2 or higher) or equivalent. In addition, applicants may be required to complete an admission interview. Industry experience is beneficial.
Applications from mature students are encouraged.
International applicants should note that fluency in English is required
