Students must write a project report and present their work at a seminar.

The education includes lectures, seminars, group work, and project/research work. It is deeply rooted in current international health research and includes presentations on ongoing research at the department as well as by invited scientists. The lecturers have vast experience of global health work in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
The seminars are designed to develop the ability to understand, interpret and critically evaluate scientific literature. This also includes exercises to discuss results and choice of methods and to summarize facts and hypotheses both orally and in writing. The increasing depth of theoretical knowledge is measured at the examination of the different courses. The ability to analyze, evaluate and draw conclusion from scientific data is judged at specific seminars and theoretical tasks.
