The course will introduce you to a range of classroom research tools and includes structured, school-based learning allowing you to draw from your experiences as a beginner teacher and to relate these insights to your analysis of current theories and research.
The MA is designed with the demands on beginner teachers firmly in mind and makes direct links to the TDA's Core (Induction) Standards and the priorities identified in the National Strategies.
Who is the course for?
The course is specifically designed for newly qualified primary and secondary teachers at the start of their careers who want to broaden their career opportunities and enhance their prospects of early promotion. It also provides a pathway to higher-level research degrees.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testThis course is open to graduates with an honours degree and who have successfully completed a PGCE initial teacher training programme in either the primary or secondary phase. You should have a successful record of achievement on the PGCE in relation to both written assignments and practical teaching.
You should also have secured employment as teachers at the point of registration.
Candidates should also apply for the Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (leading to Advanced Standing of 60 credits) in relation to their PGCE programme.
