What is the programme about? Globalisation of competition is a major challenge facing Irish business. The MSc in International Business produces graduates who can respond to this challenge and who have the expertise to succeed in the global marketplace.
Course objectives We aim to give you a strong grasp of the theory and practice of international business. You will enhance your learning and presentation skills through individual and group tasks and develop the skills you need to undertake research in an international setting. Furthermore, you will learn to evaluate the role of technology in international business with special focus on organisational/personal communication systems and styles.

Programme structure The MSc in International Business is offered as a one-year full-time programme or on a two-year part-time basis.
If you are a part-time student, please note that classes are scheduled during the day and evening, Monday to Friday, so it is essential that you have the support of your employer.
To complete the programme you must complete four core modules and choose a minimum of two option modules. You must also complete either a dissertation or summer school modules.
The MSc IB combines academic content with skill-based and practical application of knowledge to solve international business problems. While the programme aims to deepen students' knowledge, attention is also given to the use that students make of this new knowledge.
Learning activities include case study analysis, presentations, simulations and games, group projects, seminar presentations, business reports, article critiques and guest presentations. With this interactive learning strategy students are required to be reflective and engaged learners.
A variety of assessment techniques including formal exams, research projects, article reviews, case presentations, report analysis etc are used.
