The programme requires coursework in one specialisation and writing a thesis. Students
choose their specialisation at the beginning of the studies.
Two specialisations are currently offered:
* Computer Systems and Networks (CSN);
* Telecommunications (TCM).
Each graduate student has a supervisor from the faculty. This professor helps the student plan an academic programme of coursework consistent with the degree requirements and the student´s educational objective. The advisor also supervises the student´s research and thesis.
The thesis is based on a research project that involves, partly, the original material.
Computer Systems and Networks (CSN)
Objectives:
Graduates of the master´s degree programme in the Computer Systems and Networks
specialisation will have comprehensive qualifications in the area of computer science basics, including basic knowledge of information processing, as well as in the area of algorithms and system modelling. They will be proficient in computer programming and skilful in using computer tools.

They learn, in particular, the methods and techniques for transmission of information by means of radio waves using the potential of digital techniques, computers and other advanced technologies as well as the methods for image and sound processing.
The qualifications of graduates include the skills necessary for solving system problems which require comprehensive knowledge in the areas of telecommunications and computer science, combined with some non-engineering knowledge. Depending on the final profiling, graduates are well-prepared for the research work or design and operation of telecommunication and data-communication equipment and systems, as well as designing of multimedia systems and their Internet applications.
