The Erasmus Mundus programme is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field
of higher education which promotes the European Union as the centre of excellence in learning around the world. It supports European top-quality master´s courses and enhances the visibility and attractiveness of European higher education in the third countries. It also provides EU-funded scholarships for the third country nationals participating in these master´s courses, as well as scholarships for EU-nationals studying at partner universities throughout the world.

Currently, Erasmus Mundus supports about 100 Erasmus Mundus 2-year master´s courses of outstanding academic quality: all programs are conducted in English, the candidates are expected to have good study results, and confirmed knowledge of the English language.

The courses aim at fostering cooperation between higher education institutions and academic staff in Europe and Third Countries, enhancing the mobility to another university and another region of Europe, and at making students benefit linguistically, culturally and educationally from studies in the countries of the EU. Scholarships are offered to higher education students and academics from all over the world.

Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion provides advanced education in materials
science and electrochemistry. The course consists of 3 semesters of classes plus a fourth semester devoted to research performed in one of 16 European laboratories.

The M.E.S.C consortium includes:

* Université de Paul Sabatier - Toulouse (France)
* Université de Picardie - Amiens (France)
* Université de Provence - Marseille (France)
* Universidad de Córdoba (Spain)
* Warsaw University of Technology (Poland).

MESC receives funding from the European Commission as an Erasmus Mundus Master Course. Erasmus Mundus supports top-quality European Master's Courses and enhances the visibility and attractiveness of European Higher Education in Third Countries.

For European students who join MESC it is also an opportunity to study in a multicultural environment since our students come from all over the world. That's why classes are taught in English by professors and researchers who interact through the European network of excellence Alistore.

MESC Students study in two to four different European countries.
