This programme has been designed specifically for those unable to complete a Masters programme on a full-time basis. It is designed for non-business graduates who wish to pursue or further develop a career in business. It is available to graduates from a wide range of academic backgrounds, including arts, engineering, law, science and the social science. What is the course about? The course delivers a well-rounded knowledge of the theories, practices and skills of business and management and is delivered by a faculty of leading academics and industry experts. The programme draws upon UCD Business School´s long established tradition of offering part-time business programmes by distance learning. What will I learn?
* An advanced knowledge of theoretical business models and conceptual frameworks and the ability to apply them to real business situations.
* The capacity to identify and critically review business problems.
* The ability to develop interpersonal, communication and leadership skills through group interaction, case discussions and presentations.
* The skills to undertake independent research and project work.

The solid grounding you get in business will help you to advance your career prospects across different industries. You will have the opportunity to gain a theoretical and applied appreciation of business and a solid and practical understanding of business and management. The programme will provide you with the required necessary technical knowledge together with team-building and management skills demanded for working in business today.
This is a part-time programme delivered over two years. As well as attending classes, you will undertake case studies, group projects, presentations and written reports. First year students will commence the programme in August of each year.

+This weekend is an orientation weekend for Year One students. The first weekend for Year Two students commences at the end of August approximately.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

You must have a minimum second-class honours degree in a non-business discipline.
Applications will also be accepted from non-degree holders on the basis of your work experience.
An interview may also form part of the assessment process.
If English is not your native language, unless you have completed your primary degree through English, an English language qualification is required (eg: IELTS/TOEFL). IELTS - an overall score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6 in each section. TOEFL - a minimum of 100 on the internet-based test, or 250 on the computer based test; or 600 on the paper-based test.
