ParisTech and the Renault Foundation have partnered to create the ParisTech Master´s programme in Transport and Sustainable Development. This national Master´s degree is awarded by ParisTech, under the seals of Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, Ecole des MINES ParisTech and Ecole Polytechnique. The programme takes place in Paris, Champs-sur-Marne and Palaiseau.
Transport systems represent one of the fundamental pillars of a sustainable development approach for societies. They play a structuring role for human geography, impact the global and local environments and are located at the centre of the development of economic and social systems. Land-use planning, segregation of urban space, security problems, congestion, local atmospheric pollution, the greenhouse effect and the explosion of demand for mobility are just some of the challenges facing engineers in the 21st century. The TraDD Master´s programme provides engineers and economists of diverse nationalities with the necessary tools to position transport in a sustainable development process. The Master´s programme is aimed at students from Japanese, Korean, Brazilian and Russian partner universities, as well as all students with a solid basic education in engineering sciences or economics (equivalent level of at least baccalaureate plus 4 years). The mathematics level must be equivalent to that of a scientific license. For non-francophone candidates, it is essential that they can understand, read and express themselves in French. Consequently, they should have as a minimum 450 points on the International French Test (TFI) or hold a Degree in French language studies (DELF1).
