Contents

The Master´s programme provides a multidisciplinary education that lets students understand and manage contemporary urbanisation and metropolitanisation changes in Western and Mediterranean societies. It is based on a coherent set of theoretical lessons and applied work that addresses in a structured process:

  • the transformation of lifestyles, how these transformations affect the uses of urban space and the development of travel as an essential component of urban activity, residential routes, home to work travel, migrations and professional mobility, and tourism and leisure travel,
  • the social reconfiguration of urban areas, social and professional mobility, the weight of migratory flows in the organisation of territories, and regional exchanges: networks and regional cooperation,
  • how mobility and flows restructure the social-spatial organisation of housing, employment locations, and shopping and leisure areas around new networks, new services and new mobility products, and
  • the recent changes in the governance of cities and metropolitan areas, which lead them to participate in a multi-scale system of decisions and actions and to develop planning, contract formalisation and communication tools adapted to these new stakes.

The Master´s programme is intended for:

  • students that have obtained a license or bachelor from a French or foreign university
  • engineering students
