École des Ponts ParisTech, in partnership with the University Pierre and Marie Curie and École Centrale Paris, offers a 2nd year Master´s programme (M2) in Mechanics of soils, rocks and engineering structures in their environment. The programme is taking place at École des Ponts ParisTech and École Centrale Paris.
This Master´s programme is centred on the current and future industrial fields in high demand, such as urban development, pollution-related geotechnics, waste and major risks, the reliability of structures and the specific behaviour of soils (non-saturated soils and physical chemistry of clays). It provides the theoretical bases and the numerical and experimental methods required to understand and master complex problems, leading to current research subjects.
It aims to train specialists to understand and model new phenomena associated with the environment and geotechnics risks in a highly competitive international context.
The MSROE Master´s programme equips students to enter the workforce rapidly in industry R&D groups and consulting engineering offices in geotechnics as well as with contracting authorities, major research organisations or universities or even to create a SME. This Master´s programme encourages entering the workforce or continuing studies towards a PhD.
Practical training included in the timetable completes all theoretical courses.
Example of courses:
For admission to M2: hold a 1st year (M1) Master´s degree (baccalaureate + 4 years) or hold a civil engineering or public works engineering degree.
| Minimal degree required: | Bachelor's degree |

ParisTech courses are recognized by the state. They are regularly evaluated by French and international organizations (e.g. AERES, AQUIS, AACSB, AMBA, etc.).
