Following an academic review the structure of the M.Sc. in Quantitative Finance has changed and will now be a two semester course consisting of 10 modules along with a summer dissertation.
Where the course is taken part-time over 2 years, employer support is essential as the classes will be held during the working day.
Who is the MSC in Quantitative Finance for? The MSc in Quantitative Finance is ideal for people who have majored in mathematical finance or economics and trains you to use your quantitative talents to the full. What is the programme about? The MSc in Quantitative Finance is a balanced programme of finance and computational methods, which will suit numerate, competitive students looking for careers in finance that stretch their quantitative talents.
Objectives We aim to give you the knowledge and skills to develop quantitative security pricing models and trading strategies. These will help you manage portfolios of equity, fixed income and derivative securities. You will also develop the tools for managing corporate financial risk.

You will learn how to implement financial models using various programming languages and how to critically evaluate the ability of these models. Programme structure
The MSc in Quantitative Finance is a 12 month, full-time programme consisting of two semester, fall and spring, and a summer dissertation. The programme can also be taken on a part-time basis over 2 years.
To complete the programme, you must study 10 core modules and complete a dissertation. You will be assessed through continuous assessment and written examinations which are held at the end of each semester.
