This programme is about user-centred communication design. A typical project may involve wayfinding, diagramming, complex page layouts, or digital media. You will gain the knowledge, experience and skills to become a highly articulate design practitioner.

We cultivate observation, evaluation, and analysis to support creative design. We are concerned with the way people interact with visually presented information and how design can best support the mental work that people do.

You are taught by departmental staff who cover theory, practice and evaluation of design. Visiting professionals and academics also contribute, and there are visits to leading information deign studios. You are mainly taught in small groups in an informal and relaxed environment.
