Een belangrijke meerwaarde van de opleiding is de samenstelling van de deelnemersgroep. Het contact en discussies met andere professionals uit verschillende hoeken van de gezondheidszorg is bijzonder leerzaam.
Voor wie is de Executive Master of Health Administration bedoeld?
De deelnemers zijn afkomstig uit de brede zorgsector en aanpalende organisaties: hogere managers, leden van raden van bestuur van zorginstellingen, managers van zorgverzekeringen, overheidsvertegenwoordigers en adviseurs van consultancybedrijven.
Daarnaast zijn er deelnemers met een medische achtergrond. Allen hebben een academisch denkniveau en een ruime werkervaring (in voorgaande programma's gemiddeld 17 jaar).
Deelnemersprofiel
Het profiel wisselt enigszins per jaar. Er is geen vast, vooraf bepaald profiel anders dan dat de deelnemers allen een HBO- of academische vooropleiding moeten hebben genoten en over minimaal vijf jaar relevante managementervaring moeten beschikken.Overzicht
* Een Executive Master voor managers en bestuurders in de zorg die betrokken zijn bij strategische beslissingen, hun voorbereiding en implementatie.
* Analyseert de onstuimige ontwikkelingen en veranderingen waarmee de gezondheidszorg zich geconfronteerd ziet en de reacties die deze teweeg brengen.
* Gaat in op het belang en de betekenis van ontwikkelingen buiten de zorgsector voor de zorg.
* Brengt balans tussen cliëntbenadering en zakelijke aanpak.
* Anticipeert op zorg in de toekomst.
* Parttime, looptijd 15 maanden.

Methoden en Technieken van Onderzoek
Verspreid over deze 8 reguliere modules bevinden zich sessies die expliciet ingaan op de wijze van analyseren door de wetenschappelijke kwaliteit van onderzoek te behandelen. Ook in deze sessies ligt de nadruk op een balans tussen theorie en praktijk. Met deze sessies (drie dagen en 7 avonden verspreid over het programma) wordt de deelnemer inzicht geboden in de verschillende onderzoeksbenaderingen en in de kwaliteit van informatie die ze produceren.
Met deze sessies worden de analytische vaardigheden aangescherpt (er wordt geen statistische voorkennis vereist; ook zijn de betreffende sessies conceptueel, niet statistisch of wiskundig ingericht. De 7 avonden behandelen onderzoek in de praktijk (business research methods) met een actieve inbreng van de deelnemers zelf. Methoden en Technieken van Onderzoek en Business Research Methods bieden een optimale voorbereiding op de uitwerking van de Master thesis.

The International Executive Doctorate (DBA+PhD), offered in partnership with the Cranfield University School of Management, is accredited by the Economic and Social Science Research Council (ESRC). This programme is one of only six in the UK to be recognised.
TiasNimbas is accredited by CEDEO for Accountancy Programmes. A selection of programmes at TiasNimbas is available for achieving the PE (permanent education) requirements for Royal NIVRA (Koninklijk Nederlands Instituut voor Registeraccountants).
