M.Arch. in Interior Architecture – (M.A.)

A designer is responsible for performing services relative to interior spaces, including programming, design analysis, spatial planning and aesthetics, using specialized knowledge of interior construction, building codes, equipment, materials and furnishings. Our Masters program takes into account the concern for human beings and the creation of interior settings that support both human activities and values. Upon the satisfactory completion of our program, graduates are able to think creatively and solve problems in a professional fashion. Our Masters in Interior Architecture aims at furthering knowledge acquired at the undergraduate level, as well as opening up new vision for specialization in certain aspects of interior design. This program also aims at achieving the following objectives: to develop computer-based design skills, to ease adaption to everyday professional life, and to help further creativity when finding solutions to design problems.Programme overviewOur Masters program of Interior Design aims at developing and improving the knowledge and skills of professionals belonging to this field of study. This program provides students with the required tools to become competent and professional interior designera by achieving their full potential and creativity. Our program is available to different professionals, and thus, it provides flexibility in specializing in interior design. However, if candidates are graduates of a non-design discipline, then they will be asked to follow some preparatory lectures at the beginning of the program. Our non-thesis program includes 5 compulsory modules, 5 elective modules and a term project, and our thesis program includes 5 compulsory modules, 2 elective modules and the thesis. OutcomesStudents will have achieved the following:

• A good understanding of design disciplines and of interior design principles

• An ability to analyze problems, produce alternative solutions
• An ability to synthesize cultural, aesthetic and economic factors
• An ability to design using digital technologies
• An ability to tackle design issues professionally within a competitive market economy
