The MSc in Financial Markets is the result of the merger of the MSc in Capital Markets and the MSc in Risk & Asset Management. As for the MSc in Capital Markets and the MSc in Risk & Asset Management, the MSc in Financial Markets derives from the expertise developed by the industry acclaimed EDHEC-Risk Institute.
The programme brings the latest advances of applied research and is specifically designed to impart a thorough knowledge of market-based finance, risk management techniques for traditional and alternative investments, capital markets trading, derivative pricing, financial modeling and asset management.
It is designed so as to offer flexibility and progressive specialisation to educate experts the industry is requiring and includes four core modules that are the necessary foundations to master market finance issues and state-of-the-art techniques. Then, students will opt for one of the two open majors: Asset Management or Trading. The main objective is being to offer students the ability to focus on the two main branches of the industry depending on their career choices. To go further in academic and applied expertise, elective courses allow participants to tailor the course curriculum to their specific needs.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Programme graduates work as fund managers, security analysts, risk managers, asset allocation specialists, financial engineers, hedge fund analysts, traders or market makers in equity, swaps, futures, foreign exchange, options or exotic financial instruments.
The MSc in Financial Markets prepares participants for a variety of international careers related to financial markets and investments. Career opportunities are chiefly with asset management companies, brokerages, investment banks, hedge funds, private banks and pension funds and capital markets division of multinational banks.
The MSc in Financial Markets is a one-year full-time programme entirely taught in English that's worth 75 ECTS credits.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
