Liverpool Hope University’s Master in Business Administration (Information Technology), or MBA (IT), offers students the opportunity to develop expertise in Business and Management with a specific focus on their application to Information Technology.
The MBA (IT) has been designed to address and bridge the “digital divide” that exists within many organisations between managers with little awareness of technical issues, and technical personnel who tend to focus on technology so having little awareness of management issues.
Whatever your chosen industry the influence of IT is not just present in the hardware and software. More and more decisions involving technology take on a social, cultural and ethical dimension.
The management of IT systems is relevant to all graduates who are aiming for a senior management career. Employers are increasingly looking for graduates that understand
this distinction and can offer both an appreciation of technology and a grasp of business, whilst being able to lead at a strategic level.
The MBA(IT) is open to applicants from business, commerce, computing, computer science or engineering, and offers the opportunity to build on your skills, whether they be from the commercial or technical world.
The MBA (IT) programme offers a balanced mix of Business, Management, Computer Science and IT modules.
