This state-of-the-art programme provides the knowledge of advanced networking and mobile technologies, and software development technologies and architectures, that will enable its graduates to contribute to the planning, design and management of the modern enterprise computer systems that make use of mobile devices and communications. Students are expected to gain the necessary understanding of the current technologies and architectures that provide the network and communications infrastructure for mobile-enabled enterprise computer systems. They also develop skills in the design of modern distributed software systems, using appropriate technologies, architectures and techniques, and in the advanced network technologies supporting the upper layers, together with their planning, management and security.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

A good relevant first degree from a recognised university in computing, computing science or a numerate subject which includes some computing, networking or communications (such as mathematics, physics, engineering, IS or multimedia).

* Exemptions to the above requirements may be given based upon Assessment of Prior Experiential Learning.

Students educated in a language other than English should have an IELTS score of 6.5 or above or an equivalent rating in another language testing system. Alternatively, students can enter via the University of Greenwich International Pre-Masters' Programme.

Accreditation

This programme is accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS) and can lead to full exemption from the BCS Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma Project. Additionally, this qualification gives partial chartered engineer (CEng) status and can be combined with a partial CEng from an accredited BSc course to give full CEng status.eer options.
