MSc Pharmaceutical Science (MPS) was developed in response to the need for the development of enhanced expertise within the disciplines associated with pharmaceutical science, in an industrial context and in the health-care sector.
The MSc Industrial Pharmaceutical Studies (MIPS) programme aims to meet the specialised needs of students from the pharmaceutical industry, who are seeking to meet the knowledge requirements of the study guide for qualified person status.
This programme incorporates an in-depth, independent critical analysis of a pharmaceutical quality management system, or an area of pharmaceutical operations, at the candidate's place of work.
On completion of the MIPS programme, the successful candidate possesses a quality dossier that provides documentary evidence of the academic requirements for Qualified Person Status from at least 200 hours of work-based study.
The three-term project, which is laboratory based, completes the dissertation requirements for the MPS award.
