Supervision is available for research in: New media; fine art and philosophy; sound and experimental environments; images in practice; science and art; illustration; art theory and discourse; cultural activities; digital photography and social documentation; art practice and critical theory; and representation and identity.
Research degree work focuses on the completion of a thesis (40,000 words for an MPhil; 80,000 words for PhD). This work is undertaken with guidance from a panel of supervisors with relevant experience, and is completed in a set period of time reflecting the relevant degree (MPhil or PhD).
The course can be studied full-time over two years or part-time over four years.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testA good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject or a master's degree in an appropriate subject. Exceptionally, equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications will be considered. A portfolio is required.
English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 7.0 or equivalent.
