Interactive Media and Knowledge Environments (IMKE) is an accredited two-year international new media master program (120 ECTS) offered by the Institute of Informatics, Tallinn University with all instruction in English. The special focus of IMKE is on knowledge environments, i.e., online community, collaborative and sharing application applications of the Web 2.0, including, for example, games, learning environments, and citizen's media.
The study schedule is designed particularly with working, and distant students in mind. IMKE is active in the Erasmus student and teacher exchange programme and is involved in a number of Internet-based curricular exchanges with other universities.

The program is designed for persons with a BA level education and an interest in digital interactive media and its future applications, in particular, knowledge environments. i.e., technological and social environments for sharing information and constructing knowledge.
Applicants from a variety of backgrounds are encouraged to apply, with the purpose of creating a wide spectrum creative community. Particular orientations, such as digital divide, gender issues and needs of special groups with respect to interactive media are welcome.
The program aims to equip students with a range of competences, applicable not only in professions related directly with designing, planning, implementing, distributing and management of digital interactive media, but also in positions indirectly assuming visionary and critical knowledge of the field. The IMKE graduates will master:

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

You can register and start filling this as soon as possible, and you can keep working on it until the deadline.The form consists of 1) general information fields and 2) essay fields (part of the entrance examination). You can also upload or link optional portfolio documents to the database.
2) Take admission interview, either in person or via a SKYPE connection, on a date after the deadline. This. together with the completed questionnaire -essay form will consitute the entrance exam.
Conditional admission
You can take the admission interview even before the complete documentation has been received, but you will need to produce the missing documents before enrolling.
