The Master's programme in Economic Policy helps students to analyze the wider range of problems facing economic policy makers and to understand the background to political decision-making. The programme offers students an advanced knowledge of macro-economics, econometrics and philosophy of economics. F
urthermore, students will gain a deeper understanding of different areas of economic policy: labour economics, economic growth and fluctuations, health economics, public finance, competition policy, monetary economics, transport economics. Students can also improve their knowledge of research methodology by choosing a course on multivariate data analysis, operations research, real options or time series analysis.
The Master´s programme aims to improve student´s insights and ability to recognize and resolve economic policy issues in a methodologically sound and effective manner.
Career opportunities
Masters in Economic Policy are prepared for positions which require them to analyze aspects of economic policy, and guide and influence economic policy decision-making. Such careers are found in the consultancy, banking and insurance sectors as well as in industrial and commercial corporations. Graduates are often employed by governments, at both national and international levels. Research offers another career opportunity.

More information1) Academic qualifications
Applicants should hold a Bachelor´s degree in Economics or equivalent. They should have obtained credits in intermediate Micro-Economics, intermediate Macro-Economics and introductory Econometrics. The equivalence of foreign Bachelor´s degrees will be considered by the Board of Admission.
2) Language qualifications
Candidates are required to demonstrate their proficiency in English in one of the following ways:
a) by submitting proof that they have studied at least one academic year in an English-language programme;
b) applicants can also prove their knowledge on the basis of a language certificate showing their TOEFL or IELTS results:
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): paper-based TOEFL level of minimum 550, or a computer-based TOEFL level of minimum 213, or an internet-based TOEFL level of minimum 79-80.
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System): a minimum score of at least 6.5, and on each part minimum 6.0.
