We have developed an impressively wide area of expertise in energy technology. In all our activities we successfully combine effective teaching and profound researching methods. Research is carried out in close cooperation with enterprises and other universities and research institutions. Our strong interface with enterprises is one of the key success-factors in ensuring an appreciated practical application of new knowledge and theories into the real world.
Our aim is to educate industrially orientated, world-class professionals with firm theoretical understanding and profound expertise in the areas of bio-energy technology, environmental energy technology, electrical drives technology, and electricity market and distribution.
Energy studies focuse on power plant and steam boiler engineering, pollution prevention, emission reduction, utilisation of by-products as material or energy, waste treatment, recycling and disposal; the management of electromagnetism, power electronics, electromechanical and electrothermal processes, industrial applications of real-time control systems, embedded software, digital signal processing, and on the application of these to the modeling and control of electric drives and power electronics; electricity distribution automation and power transmission, network business technology, regulation, and economy.
Teaching is based on the latest research and international development in the said focus areas.
In these areas we have excelled and gained high competence as well as competitive recognition among Europe´s top universities of technology. We are able to cater to the students´ educational needs and provide excellent research facilities.
We invite skilled students to join our progressive teams!
