Presentation

The Master's Degree in Migrations and Social Mediation has a twofold purpose. First it trains professionals for different types of social intervention: legal, administrative, NGOs and other types.

At the same time, as a Master's programme (which leads into a doctoral programme), our aim is to prepare some of the students to initiate an academic and/or research career, since we are aware that the social and legal sciences have an important role to play in the analysis of migratory processes, and in the criticism of the xenophobic attitudes displayed by a significant part of the receiving society. Research, from this point of view, can and must be communicated, to the extent that they are both university tasks.
