The Master’s degree program focuses on the following qualification objectives:
• Implementing various techniques of theoretical perspective in order to critically analyze and reflect on situations as well as an academic base knowledge in business administration. The program introduces specialized-methodical methods in key areas of general management as well as a focus on personal and social skills and intercultural skills.
• Developing skills to understand and analyze complex topics and predicaments and how to develop possible solutions
• Specialized-methodical skills are developed through refresher courses and independent study of functional management content as well as content in cross-cutting issues such as globalization, innovation, and sustainability. These topics are a key challenge for future management and a company’s role in society must be understood.
• In general, the program is taught entirely in English. Students will acquire both active and passive professional language proficiency. In order to improve language fluency, students can opt to participate in a semester abroad program. Participation in a student exchange program is optional and students can select a one-semester or two-semester program.
• Students also acquire personal and social skills by attending special courses (“Interpersonal Skills”). There are also opportunities to enhance these skills by attending effective, didactic courses such as refresher courses. Furthermore, students can develop these skills by selecting free coursework credits.
• Students can acquire intercultural skills by attending selected courses. To improve intercultural skills, students can opt to spend a semester abroad (one or two semesters) in the context of the program. International programs enable students to learn more about management concepts and understand the economic correlations in a cultural and intercultural context.
• Students focus on learning methodical skills in the context of business administrative courses that include quantitative and qualitative methods in course syllabus. In addition, these skills are also developed in the context of courses in other subjects.
• Students may specialize in selected areas of General Management. After completion of the program, graduates should be in a position to accredit themselves professionally.
