The program’s objectives are as follows:
• An academic based education focusing on the key functions of management, including acquiring specialized-methodical skills in business (“management”), developing skills to comprehend and analyze complex topics and situations from various perspectives as well as develop possible solutions.
• Students learn to think and handle in a global sense as the program not only requires students to spend a period of time in each of the three cultural/economic regions (Europe, Asia, and North America), but students must also work together with students from each participating partner university.
• Students develop intercultural skills, including language proficiency in English and Chinese. The program is taught entirely in English.
• Students develop personal and social skills through continual interaction with participants from each of the partner universities during the course of the two-year program.
The Master’s degree program in Global Business is aimed at individuals involved primarily at international/global companies and who wish to pursue cross-cultural business education. Due to the unique nature of the program which includes close teamwork in cooperation with businesses and institutions as well as comprehensive support by faculty and program coordinators, the program’s capacity is limited to a total enrollment of 30 – 40 students. One-third of the total number of students will be from each cooperating partner universities.
