* You will gain the knowledge and skills required to develop a career in crop biotechnology.
* The programme is offered in partnership with the Scottish Crop Research Institute near Dundee, which has excellent facilities and expertise to offer projects focused on crop plants and crop production.
* As severe problems with agricultural production in some countries become more widespread as the global population increases and further pressure is placed on agricultural land; and the issue of global warming impacts on crop production, it will become increasingly necessary to employ biotechnological approaches to produce novel genotypes.
Programme overview * MSc: 12 months full-time
You will attend lectures and tutorials and undertake practical training, exercises that develop transferable skills, a business module, a dissertation and a project.

Applicants should have taken courses in plant biology with molecular biology, cell biology, genetics and/or biochemistry.
