Aims of the Programme:
This Diploma programme is intended as a bridge between first degree and postgraduate study. It is designed particularly to help students with first degrees involving only limited specialisation in economics make the transition to studying economics at the postgraduate level.
Modules start at the beginning of the academic session in September and are taught by lectures and tutorials. Students take
- Microeconomic Analysis
- Macroeconomic Analysis
- Econometrics
and
- Financial Economic Analysis.
Methods of Assessment:
The Diploma is awarded for satisfactory performance in coursework and degree examinations and can lead to entry on to the MSc Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics. Further details of this can be found at the Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics website
