This highly specialised and practical MA is designed for recent graduates and professional practitioners who wish to continue their creative development. The programme is based on an individually negotiated programme of practice and research with a strong emphasis on supervised independent learning. Research areas available are Media, Music, Fine Art, Design, Comedy, Drama, Theatre Studies and Dance.
Career Opportunities
The MA by Creative Practices will equip students with wide ranging careers opportunities, within the creative and cultural industries from independent practice, work in museums and galleries, theatre and dance groups, as well as within the fields of education and retail.
There are four compulsory modules, three of 30 credits and one of 90 credits.
They are:
* Theoretical Research and Professional Practice (30 credits)
* Negotiated Creative Practice (30 credits)
* Autonomous Creative Practice (30 credits)
* Creative Practice Final Project (90 credits)
Assessment for Theoretical Research and Professional Practice takes the form of three 3000 word written assignments, other modules are assessed on practical outcomes, supporting contextual work, marketing strategies etc. Negotiated Creative Practice and the Creative Practice Final also include a viva voce.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
