MSc Islamic Accounting and Finance aims to allow students to deepen their knowledge of accounting and finance practices within Islamic countries. It also seeks to explore the insights which Islamic teachings and principles can offer to students' understanding of accounting and finance.
MSc Islamic Accounting and Finance introduce important theoretical and practical accounting and finance issues associated with Islamic banking and financial institutions.
Students are exposed to issues relating to the wider context of accounting and finance internationally and will develop an understanding of the links between these subject areas. Also students are introduced to contemporary research methodology and qualitative and quantitative techniques for investigating and exploring issues in Islamic accounting and finance.
The dissertation provides the chance to demonstrate (and continue to develop) research competencies in Islamic accounting and finance and transferable skills in planning, managing and completing a research project.

By assessed coursework, examination and dissertation.
