MSc students must complete two core courses, four optional courses and a dissertation. PgDip students undertake two core courses and four optional courses. PgCert students undertake two core courses and two optional courses.

We have designed this programme with the awareness that you enter the field of economic development from a range of disciplines and backgrounds and with a variety of skills and experience. It is

* part-time to fit busy schedules
* distance learning, supported by our electronic virtual learning environment, with optional two-day workshops for each course
* modular, to help you build towards a qualification
* flexible, allowing you to complete a Masters degree, Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate
* guided by experts and practitioners in the field of local and regional economic development.

The workshops are highly interactive with group exercises and class discussions.

Requirements

Entry requirements for postgraduate taught programmes are a 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent qualification (for example, GPA 3.0 or above) in a relevant subject unless otherwise specified.

If your first language is not English, the University sets a minimum English Language proficiency level
