Are you interested in attaining analytical and empirical skills for solving the environmental problems of tomorrow? Are you interested in finding balances among environmental, economic and social interest? Do you also think that long-term environmental solutions need to build on both science and technology and social science?
Then the Master of Science in Environmental and Resource Management is an education worth to consider.
Graduates of the Environmental and Resource Management programme have a set of competencies that allows participation in a broad range of tasks in environmental management, both in the public and the private sector, as well as in NGOs and stakeholder organizations. Graduates will be able to design and conduct analysis of existing or proposed environmental strategies and policies, both within an organization and at the societal level.
The profile is designed such that graduates, through analysis and knowledge of resources and environments are able to uncover problems, propose relevant solutions and monitor their implementation. The programme serves business leaders, who must consider environmental impacts of their decisions and must develop competitive advantage within an ecological constrained world. It is also important for environmental leaders who need business skills and who need to include natural science/technical and economic issues in their proposed solutions to environmental problems.
The Environmental and Resource Management programme is structured such that the first two semesters are composed of required courses whereas the third semester is extremely flexible. Electives can be taken at University of Southern Denmark or Aalborg University in Esbjerg, abroad or partly in the form of practical experience (students must prepare reports in order to get credit for this).
