- 90 ECTS (18 months)
- Classes taught in French, German, and English

Worldwide there is a high demand for well-educated computer scientists. To cater for this demand, the three computer science institutes of the Universities of Bern, Neuchâtel and Fribourg offer a Joint Master programme in computer science. With this programme, it is possible to benefit from a large, well-structured offer which broadens significantly the scope of the individual MSc offers of the involved universities. Graduates from that programme have excellent career opportunities – after an exciting time at the three Universities forming one of the biggest Swiss University Campuses offering about everything that is typical for Switzerland.

The Joint Master in Computer Science offers persons in possession of a BSc in Computer Science (or related subjects) the opportunity to advance their knowledge of computer science. The Joint Master programme is a scientific programme, i.e. students will co-operate closely with one or more research groups of the three institutes and departments, obtaining a solid knowledge in computer science that enables them to fill advanced positions in various economic sectors, or continue their studies towards a PhD degree, offering even more interesting employment opportunities in industry and academia.

The structure of the Joint Master programme is pretty simple: it consists of teaching units (60 ECTS) and a Masters thesis (30 ECTS).
