The MSc Risk Management has been the industry standard for over a decade – being based upon expertise from a department that offers the only undergraduate risk management programme in the UK.
Your year studying Risk Management will give you a broad based focus on ‘corporate’ or ‘business’ risk management. Students will develop systematic approaches to risk management across both the public and private sectors.
Candidates will be introduced to how risk and uncertainty is needed in all aspects of management including: strategy, investment decisions, projects, asset utilisation, business continuity, corporate security, health & safety, legal liabilities and risk financing.
Essentially, you will be given key opportunities to develop into a professional risk manager and learn how to facilitate the risk management process.
The course will include sessions with key industry experts and is guided by professional accrediting bodies and allows you to gain exemptions from the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Institute of Risk Management.
Sessions will be taken by experts from Aon, Zurich Insurance and RBS Insurance amongst others.
