This master'sdegree is oriented towards research, and aims to provide the scientific and methodological foundations necessary for the furthering of students' research capacity in veterinarymedicine, food and agriculture.

This master'sdegree is the usual qualification for gaining access to the following doctorates:

* Food Sciences
* Animal Medicine and Health
* Animal Production

The general objective of this master'sdegree is to provide the scientific and methodological foundations for research in veterinarymedicine.

Once you have finished this master'sdegree, you will be able to:

* Apply the principles of experimental design and basic statistical methods.
* Use laboratory and specialised diagnosis techniques, interpret results obtained and present the results in an appropriate manner.
* Demonstrate you have acquired the knowledge and understanding of techniques and specific resources to conduct a quality research project.
* Apply the knowledge you acquire and integrate it with knowledge from other fields, maintaining an overall vision of everything involved in VeterinaryMedicine, and work in multidisciplinary contexts related to your area of specialisation.
* Communicate your research results to the scientific community and to professionals with different levels of specialisation both in your own language and in English.
* Develop learning skills that enable you to continue studying autonomously.

Skills acquired

* Analysing, summarising, and interpreting results scientifically (validation and data processing).
* Applying diagnosis and research techniques.
* Using computer tools: office programs, statistics programs and epidemiological programs.
* Developing an activity governed by ethics regulations.
* Obtaining and manipulating samples to be studied at a later date.
* Analysing and resolving problems that may arise in your field and making decisions on these problems.
* Conducting experimental work to obtain results you can understand and that are reliable enough to interpret, thus enabling you to detect possible risks associated with the work in the laboratory.
* Communicating orally and in writing using the correct scientific terminology in each specialisation, writing reports, presenting research work, presenting results nationally and internationally and in scientific and professional contexts.
* Understanding the role of the immune system in infections, allergies, cancers and transplants.
* Understanding the pathological modifications of this system.
