The programme provides a clinical research training with an emphasis on medical imaging. Imaging is now a fundamental part of all clinical specialties, including pathology. The rapid advances in technology have made imaging (both diagnostic and interventional) the core of clinical practice. In the UK, and also around the world, there is a shortage of imaging expertise. Imaging in the UK is organised by sub-specialty, so that all the specialties of medicine and surgery are represented within imaging. Within each specialty of medicine and surgery, clinicians are increasingly interested in learning how to use imaging to diagnose disease presenting in their specialty.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testMBBS or BDS (or equivalents), plus one year’s previous post-registration clinical experience at house officer level (or equivalent) – supported by at least two satisfactory structured references from consultant supervisors. Occupational Health Clearance. All offers of a place are made subject to satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau clearance, or Police check.
