This taught programme provides multi-disciplinary training in research methods within the field of health and social care. It is designed as foundational research training for individuals who wish to pursue a career in research or develop a clinical academic career.
The programme enables students to acquire knowledge of, accumulate experience in, and develop skills relating to, a wide spectrum of research methodologies and in critical analysis. The intent is to equip students to undertake cutting edge research in future and to communicate thier findings effectively to their audiences. This training provides a valuable grounding for students wishing to undertake a PhD or to pursue other research activities. It helps to prepare them for playing a key role within multi-professional research teams. Students are encouraged to, and supported in, publishing work related to their MRes studies.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
