Industrial Design Master Course

The Master in Industrial Design provides overall competence in Industrial Design. It is oriented towards the solution of problems related to the individual and social application of the product, its form, production variables and technological process. The association with major brands in furniture design, consumer electronics among the others has the purpose of rounding off the education through workshops that develop creative design abilities. The product design faculty is made up of renowned designers, University tutors and researchers. The constant comparison to market and production demands, along with cultural and methodological preparation, build up solid professional groundings. Students can use laboratories for drawing, modelling and computer design equipped with the most advanced software. Upon selection the Master’s admits candidates with a degree in Product Design, Architecture, Engineering or equivalent, and students from product design courses or applied arts schools; candidates who have gained significant professional experience in the sector.

Duration

The Industrial Design Master's course lasts for one year (from October to December, with a summer break in August).There will be a minimum of 20 hours of lessons per week. Attendance is compulsory and full time.

Internship

At the end of lessons, students will start an internship in companies or studios of the sector

Teaching

The Master’s course consists of theory lessons, workshops and product design classes. In this way students will acquire professional skills combined with a methodological awareness of the entire design process.
