The goal is to give the students a broad view of the area of intelligent software systems including: algorithms, technologies, and methodologies for developing intelligent (distributed) software systems. In addition, the aim is to provide an introduction to research methodology in both theory and practise.
This two years master program (in English) within computer science is composed of courses in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Knowledge Engineering, Intelligent Decision Support Systems and Agent Systems, a set of courses where the learning focus is on the toolbox of artificial intelligence and the applicability of the knowledge within the area of intelligent systems development. Within the program there is also a course, Cognitive Psychology, which elaborates on the cognitive aspects of intelligent systems. Furthermore, the program also focuses on performance issues in current intelligent systems applications through the courses Optimization Techniques, Algorithmic, and Simulation. Finally, a strong emphasis is on methodological aspects of research through the courses Research Methodology and Empirical Methods for Artificial Intelligence, which finalizes with the individual Master Project. The master thesis is to be written within the intelligent systems area and is to be based upon knowledge achieved during the previous course studies. The thesis concludes with an open presentation of the thesis. The master project is most preferable done in collaboration with intelligent systems related companies.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
