This Master’s programme specialisation focuses on training students to become highly qualified professionals able to manage and regulate efficient network industries and infrastructures. The programme takes two years for a total of 120 EC. Students in this programme benefit from the collaboration of the Pontifical University Comillas - Madrid (noted for its excellence in electricity market regulation), University Paris-Sud 11 (renowned for its expertise in economics and management of network industries), and Delft University of Technology (famous for its research and teaching on applied industry and network economics). Students are required to study in at least two different countries.
Obtain two diplomas
This Erasmus Mundus programme allows students to earn a multiple diploma. To obtain the EPA degree, students must complete courses worth at least 60 EC at TU Delft, which includes all first year courses in the EPA programme (except multivariate modelling).
What you will learn
The programme draws on the expertise of faculty members actively engaged in research in industry and the public sector. EMIN students learn to integrate the engineering, economics and management principles that are relevant in the network and infrastructure industry. Graduates of this programme can expect to possess:
* Global understanding of the characteristics of European and global network industries
* Deep knowledge of the basics of economic regulation and policy of network industries
* Management capabilities applied to network industries
* The skills necessary for the technical and economic modelling of network industries
Thesis work and internships are offered with network industries and institutions. Students will be required to present their research results in a dedicated research seminar to be held at the Florence School of Regulation - Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute in Florence (Italy).
The EMIN is a two-year joint programme (120 ECTS) with two separate phases:
Training period (90 ECTS): 3 semesters worth 30 ECTS each of lectures at the partner universities.
Master Thesis and internships (30 ECTS): to be carried by students at any of the EMIN partner universities, with the collaboration of the industry partners that will support the development of professional internship of EMIN students during the last stage of their studies.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

Mandatory requirements
Previous studies
The criteria for previous studies include:
Candidates must have obtained a BSc diploma (or equivalent) of substantial quality and level corresponding to at least 3 years studies at University, equivalent to 180 ECTS.
Candidates must hold a degree in Engineering, Economics or Management (to study at TUDelft and KULeuven, these studies must be in a technological field or the natural sciences).
English proficiency
Students must take courses in English (Delft, Comillas and Paris XI), and possible courses are also offered in French (Paris XI), Spanish (Comillas) and Dutch (KULeuven and TUDelft). A high level of English is therefore required.
Students whose mother tongue is not English and who did not take all their secondary or tertiary education in English, must provide proof of their command of English, for instance the English Proficiency Certificate, International TOEFL score 80 (Internet-based test), IELTS (academic version) overall band score of at least 6.5, or a DIALANG European Test level B2.
Knowledge of French, Spanish and/or Dutch is not mandatory, but will be taken into account. If they are not the mother language of the student, understanding may be acknowledged in two ways: submitting official proof of language skill: Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française, Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera; or by passing the DIALANG European test.

Comillas Pontifical University:
PRESENT: Master in Electric Power Industry – Official recognition and accreditation in Spain. In cases where the Joint Degree cannot be issued.
FUTURE: Joint Master in Economics and Management of Network Industries – To be recognised in Spain. Designed for the explicit preferences of those of the EMIN partner Universities willing to be included in this EMIN Joint Degree, as legislation developments allow. This Joint Master Degree could only be established after the approval of the mentioned Royal Decree.
