The extra-occupational Master study program takes place at the PFH Campus Stade. The Campus, which opened in 2007, is located in the direct vicinity of the Airbus Plant and CFK-Valley Stade. The building’s light-flooded atmosphere in areas like the auditorium, seminar rooms and laboratories provides ideal working conditions.
Since March 2010, the PFH offers the Master study program "Composites" in an international English version. The international study program lasts for 3 semesters with a total of 60 ETCS and contains 7 modules that are coordinated with each other. The program contains four 17-day block seminars and one additional weekend-block. Completion of the Master’s Thesis and its defense take place in the third semester. The curriculum was designed as such to enable working students an ideal coordination between their jobs and studies.
Emphasis is placed on the theoretical reinforcement of engineering subject matter during the first two semesters with a particular focus on the structural design of composite materials, production processes, process optimization and design of multi-functional composite materials. Business subject matter such as Internal Accounting & Controlling (within the framework of a business plan exercise), Innovations or Strategic Management is integrated into the first semester. Work on the Master’s thesis takes place in the third semester, and defense of the thesis finally leads to completion of the study program that culminates in a "Master of Science" degree.
