Many musicians have a great attraction to music for screen, often because music and media play a steady part in our everyday lives.
MSc in Composition for screen will address this interest in making music and sound for use in TV/radio/film, YouTube videos, commercials, video games and web pages, and more specifically, focus on developing rising talents in this field for the working market.
The programme will allow students to experiment with, and gain practical experience in new styles in music for multimedia, enhance business and management skills in the media industry, and develop necessary skills in collaborating with others.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

Take testAdmission to the degree is open to candidates with a 2:1 honours degree or equivalent in a sound related discipline (such as music, sound engineering, acoustics, film, animation or art/design) or other relevant discipline (such as computer science, architecture, education, cognitive science, psychology or other qualification deemed appropriate by the Head of School).
Essential, however, and irrespective of the applicant’s background, is significant experience in composition of a related musically creative activity (e.g. improvisation, sound installation, creative DJing, etc.).
