The programme provides a recognised qualification from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD accredited) that will facilitate the career development of the student as an HR practitionery.
The programme allows students to demonstrate deep knowledge and understanding of HRM/OHRD within a wider organisational and contextual framework.
By the end of this programme, students will have gained a broad knowledge of managerial/leadership activities as well as specialised HR areas. Great emphasis throughout the programme is on the translation of student learning to the work situtation and the development of (HR) professional, managerial and employability skills.
Modules have a skills element which is assessed separately from any written requirements. Effort has been made to ensure students engage in 'real life' issues through, for example, case studies, investigative projects and exposure to best practice.
Both full and part-time students have the opportunity to 'add value' to their work/organisations through a Business Investigations Report (PG Diploma) with HRM Research Project or OD Consultancy Project (Masters).
The successful completion of the programmes provides the knowledge bank required for membership of the CIPD.
Please note Postgraduate Diploma graduates can top up to Masters level, see website for further details.
Graduates in recent years have enjoyed a high rate of success in gaining professional employment in a diverse range of sectors with companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, Scottish Power and Sky BSB.
