The MBA International Sports Business provides students with an opportunity to broaden and deepen their existing areas of experience within the context of international sports business, drawing upon previous educational and work experiences.
The MBA International Sports Business will develop graduates with the capacity to understand the complex financial, strategic and political environment within which sport is produced, consumed and regulated, but will do so by blending a core executive business and management education with cutting-edge sports media, sports venue and major events bidding exposure.
Sport has value for individuals, businesses, cities, regions, nations and global entities. It has become a core component of the cultural industries and a primary vehicle for leveraging benefits to associated stakeholders such as corporate sponsors, sport federations and wider social causes.
Students will also be sensitised to the world of international sports business through the involvement in learning and teaching of senior figures from sports businesses and sports federations. This programme aims to further enhance the employability of its students by equipping them with a personal portfolio of strategic and operational competencies, attributes and skills that will enable them to become successful professional practitioners within this globalising industry.
The MBA International Sports Business programme encourages graduates to ground their new knowledge within the base of their professional experience, preferably in the sports industry.
