Specialists and executives are in demand who are comprehensive strategists, flexible and result oriented and due to their language abilities and practical experience, also in the international field, can act successfully and confidently.
With regard to these requirements, the CBS, in cooperation with The Maastricht School of Management (MSM) has developed an Executive MBA programme with study phases in Germany, Holland and China. This programme is specially developed for managers with executive experience who want to improve their career chances without having to leave their positions and financial security. The MSM is one of the world’s largest management schools and can fall back on almost 25 years experience with MBA and Executive MBA programmes.
The accredited programme, among others from the Association of MBA (AMBA) imparts established knowledge in all the most important areas of business management disciplines, modern management methods and excellent language skills training. In a time frame of 24 months you can complete six nine-day modules in Cologne and Maastricht as well as two weeks in Shanghai, including plant visits.
Our many contacts to fellow students, lecturers, businesses and approximately 25.000 alumni from various branches and cultural circles will enlargen your interdisciplinary knowledge, promote your intercultural competency and make it possible for you to build up a stable international network of contacts. The solution strategies developed in team work can be used directly in your daily business life.

The English language form of the Executive MBA programme imparts the latest research results as practically proven models from business management. Besides deepening your business management knowledge and your management methods, it also advances your social competencies in the following areas:
* Systematic identification of problems and analysis
* Decision finding and carrying out
* Formulation of organisational concepts
* Development of business strategies
* Leadership and negotiating techniques
* Team competency, communication and presentation
The programme is made up of seven independent modules, followed by a three- month break. Six of the modules run over nine days and take place either in Maastricht or Cologne. During the two-week study phase in Shanghai you will visit, among other places, local plants and businesses.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

In order to qualify for the International Executive MBA programme at CBS you need a recognised university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) from a recognised university and at least five years experience in an executive position.
Besides this, you need a certificate regarding your knowledge level of the English language. This can be certified by the following (not older than two years):
TOEFL: minimum 550 points or 213 points in computer test
Equivalent test with comparable number of points (e.g. IELTS)
Furthermore, we recommend a Graduate Admission Test (GMAT) with at least 500 points.
