* Our Human Geography Research Group has strong working collaborations with the Glasgow Centre for International Development and the Glasgow Refugee, Asylum & Migration Network (GRAMNET).
* You will benefit from a GRAMNET initiative which currently enables you to conduct your dissertation research with a range of knowledge exchange partners and contributors including the Scottish Refugee Council; Oxfam; and Glasgow City Council.
* MRes: 12 months full-time; 24 months part-time
You will attend lectures, seminars and tutorials and take part in workshops, project and team work.
Core courses
* Space, Politics and Power 1: Concepts in human geography
* Space, Politics and Power 2: Geographical engagements beyond the academy
* Applied geographies: research methods, ethics and politics.
You will also take two courses in qualitative and quantitative methods in the social sciences; and undertake an independent piece of research on a topic chosen by you.
