This taught postgraduate degree comprises two semesters of taught modules and a third semester where you will work exclusively on your dissertation. The programme offers a wide range of modules delivered by scientists and clinicians, drawing on current medical research practice, that may include: ageing and health, musculoskeletal disease, experimental medicine and therapeutics, drug discovery and development, cancer studies, clinical epidemiology, cognitive neuroscience and psychiatric illness, genetics of common diseases, developmental genetics, medical genomics, applied immunobiology, nanomaterials in healthcare technologies, neuroimaging, neurological disease, stem cells and regenerative medicine, systems biology, transplantation sciences and toxicology.

Requirements

An Honours degree, or international equivalent, in a science or related discipline or a degree in medicine or dentistry. For science graduates, a first-class (1st) or an upper-second-class (2.1) degree is the standard minimum requirement. Two academic references are required.

Applicants whose first language is not English require a minimum of IELTS 6.5 for each sub-section, TOEFL 90 (Internet-based) or 577 (paper-based) or equivalent.
